The "suspected" part is the question, did the ransom demand come from the people who broke in? Or by opportunists taking advantage of somebody else's break-in?

I don't see why it's such a big deal. Apparently people doing #2 in the bathtub is extremely common in every hotel in the world. It happens far more often than you might think and is one of the dirty little secrets of the industry.

Ahhh, the good old days. Even if I didn't buy everything that caught my eye (and I did buy a few), it felt good to see choices available that seemed to have me in mind. It made me feel, for lack of a better word, seen.
I miss that.
