Today was my birthday, so I celebrated with a slap-up meal at the Flower Drum, a very nice Chinese restaurant in the centre of Watford, and the purchase of my very first mobile phone (as a gift from my Mum). Yes, I've finally lost my virginity :) and will shortly be joining the texting masses, albeit mainly to let my folks know if I'm stuck somewhere.

    There also is (used to be? Not sure) a German snack bar in Minneapolis called "Strudel & Noodle".

I didn't realise you were in London. I have a cousin that lives in Addlestone (my mother is English - 'scuse *British*) - used to live in Chertsey but I guess that was too far from work!

What are your favourite restaurants in Tring and Watford? Do you ever go to Monsoon on St Albans Road? Mrs Turgid and I have only tried two places in Tring so far (both Italian).

  Haven't been eating out in Tring, but in Watford I can recommend The Flower Drum (chinese), ASK (italian), Zinco's (italian) and Mezza (lebanese), off the top of my head, as good places to eat at. Additionally, the Pizza Express place is built within the remains of an old Elizabethan house, and features regular jazz events throughout the year.
