      • You grotesquely understate them. People like them are light years from mere grumpsters; they are hard-core communists, and as gravely dangerous to this country and this world [they can't corrupt things in the afterlife (thank God!)] as that sounds.

        I got (15) mod points a month or two ago, and decided to play along and "dropped my shields" so-to-speak, and was reading thru a discussion from the front page, in its early stages and had the displeasure of actually seeing several of fusta's comments.

          I think there is a bit more nuance at work that mere Commies.

          • I remember when Ted Kaczynski got arrested, and Slashdotters said well despite all that he had some good ideas about technology. You fit in well here.

            • I'd like to raise a general "party foul" in the direction of conflating people with ideas. If you can't separate sin from sinner, then I commend to you further study. You should not, for example, hate the Amish just because they roll a lot like Ted Kaczynski.

              • I separate them for the lost (as well as the saved), but not for the subset of the lost who are the wicked. Some people God keeps his grip on, even if they've been astray for a while. Some people so (knowingly) embrace evil, He hands them over to their desires.

                For those who thoroughly embrace what would be expected to be one of the Devil's main plans for humanity, sin vs. sinner is just a mental exercise. Most people are not a waste of time. Some are, and only serve to run the danger of getting some of
