Ra5pu7in's Journal: Writing Exercise

Concept and "rules" can be found in Shadow Wrought's journal. I decided to try for a separate haiku (simple 5,7,5 style) with each word.

Intentness, focus,
No distraction from her prey
The lioness stalks

Treehouse and attic
A closet beneath the stairs
Secret hideaways

Botanic garden
Or garden of sand and stone
Each giving pleasure

Six tatami room
Beanbags and pizza boxes
Here cultures collide

From sugar cane sweet
Through brewery most bitter
Drink of pirates: Rum

Pure white lace rustling
Veil lifted to reveal her
Most beautiful bride

For or against me
Political agenda
Theres no middle ground

Mysterious snarls
Deep within the rainforest
Puma eats tonight

Black hat and black veil
Hiding a doleful visage
His widow remains

Cash flowing freely
From bursars and treasurers
Academies will fail

Yeah, I had to look up bursars - never heard of them and will probably forget about them again in a couple days. Now for the WTF words that I also had to look up (and not all of them were easily found in a dictionary).

The knights of the realm

Haiku

I really like the challenge of Haiku's as well. Trying to fit one haiku per word was pretty cool, well done with the WTF words, too;-)
