damn_registrars's Journal: Meet the Kevlar Kandidate 8

Journal by damn_registrars
Much as the "Teflon" Tim Pawlenty was the apparent pinnacle of non-stickiness, his campaign just didn't make it.

So now, from neighboring (don't forget, Iowa does border Wisconsin) Wisconsin, we have Scott "Kevlar" Walker. Truly bulletproof after dodging a recall attempt, he has all the favorite traits of a GOP / Koch Brothers Party candidate:

I expect the Koch Brothers would send him money by the train car load, if the train tracks were maintained in his state. Maybe they could send it by executive jet instead (after all they couldn't have unionized parcel handlers helping move it...)

  • Were he truly so odious, how did he survive the recall? How did Pres'ent Obama retain his position as the most expensive piece of debris in human history?
I guess the Kochs can throw state elections, but not national ones? Is that the theory?

First, it was in part a continuation of Walker vs. Milwaukee. Numerically he has an advantage as the greater Milwaukee area is less than half of Wisconsin's population. Even if you add the Milwaukee area and the Madison areas together you barely crack the half-way mark on the state's population, and there are plenty of people in Madison (and Milwaukee suburbs / exurbs) who will vote against their own interests.

Second, Walker looks so darn good on camera. Put a cowboy hat on him, and he'll be all set t

      • ...you just suggested that Obama has done nothing

I wouldn't quite say that. Pres'ent Obama has at least set a personal pronoun usage record.

It is a lot easier to energize a smaller population.

Be careful, or you'll start agreeing with me that people don't scale, and all this centralization is pure folly.

So then how does that fit in to his global domination strategy that you are so convinced he is on the cusp of rolling out?

No. Getting people excited over a slick presentation is a completely different matter than actually doing something useful for them. That said, I haven't seen any growth in "centralization" lately.

Well, it's blatantly obvious to even the most casual observer that he's a plant from Bulungi who wins by destroying our borders, military, and rule of law.

We need to schedule you for an eye appointment with Sum Ting Wong.

Ahh, yes. That joke just never gets old. It works even better as a catch-all response when someone dares to suggest that your statement is lacking factual basis.

Yep, just like you weren't aware that Obama's campaign promises were all lies from the start, figures. Try opening your squinty little eyes. It's pretty hard to miss that 85 bil being poured onto Wall Street (where power is centralized through the government) every month.

Your bourgeoisie is so... banal. Do you wear a black beret, smoke long skinny cigarettes, sitting at a tiny table in a dark room, listening to some guy on the bong
