Nice TDS-article from arstechnica. Written by Ashley Belanger that only seems to write negative pieces involving trump or elon musk. It's a defamation suit and obviously the DOJ wouldn't back down because of it. Never liked Binance, they're probably guilty, but the WSJ-piece and this Arstechnica-article stinks.

Some might argue that Bitcoin miners use energy to secure a monetary network to benefit people. While AI consumes energy to make people unemployed. AI will cause far more suffering in the near future than Bitcoin miners ever could. In summary. Arguing about the energy usage of certain things is dumb.

heh. Yeah this is 99% of the "crypto community". Someone modifies BTC a bit and says look it can now handle X tps and is now better. Totally ignoring what everyone with networking and sysadmin knowledge says about that shit will hit a fan if you onboard too many users. Then they say it's not a problem because it will be fixed in the future with moores law. L1 scaling does not work. You don't build something now() that would catastrophically break if there was too many users onboarded to fast and assume it will work in the future because better technology. You build something now() that can onboard the whole planet (L2/LN) now() if needed.
