The supreme court seems to think otherwise. I'm as surprised as anyone, given the current make-up of our nation's highest court.
"Chatrie v. United States, the Supreme Court recognized one’s digital location as firmly protected by the Constitution from police searches without a warrant."
While specifically related to cell tower dumps and geofencing, it's not a far fetched idea that using aggregated digital records of one's location (based on license plate reader records) could eventually be classified the same way.
