This country has become a disgusting embarassment of a place to live.

There's so much potential for a "getting the gang back together" live-action here. Yes, it's overwhelmingly more to create and produce. But it's worth it. We're no longer children watching cartoons. We want real people.

Pepperidge Farm remembers. Before ads and paywalls, before micro-transactions, before subscriptions. Just.. software for the sake of software. Sigh.

The amount of times that I've hit that stupid "navigate by voice" button (or whatever it is) is FAR too high.

I'd rather a 0.5" thick phone with a battery that lasts three days. I don't give a flying shit how thin a phone can get, but I do care about not worrying about charging it.

I cannot imagine anyone in their right mind being excited about this. How people prefer Microsoft's archaic lipstick-on-a-pig (that's still pretty poorly applied) is beyond me. Give me Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Gmail, etc over Microsoft's crap any day of the year.

It's amazing to me, as someone with a Reddit account that's 15 years old, to watch this all unfold. Until the API bullshit, I honestly had no idea what the "Reddit User Experience" was, as I was only using a third-party app and RES. It's amazing to be forced to see how much it's declined and to watch it continue to decline. It's amazing what happens when outside money gets too involved.

Hamilton is pissed

Data caps exist for two reasons - they used to make *technical* sense to impose as network resources were much rarer/more expensive than they are now and overwhelming majority of US citizens either don't know enough to challenge it or are too lazy to, and because of that it's an enormous cash cow. That's all. Limit corporate and high-level executive incomes, impose increasing tax rates for corporations and individuals earning over certain amounts, and offer people an alternative solution that doesn't make them bite the pillow for additional "data" plans and watch the problem solve itself.

I don't know about everyone else, but since COVID I just have ZERO desire to "climb the ladder" and create a long-term "career". COVID was a huge wake up call to just how much things like work don't REALLY matter, and at this point I'm just fast-tracking to FIRE so I can stop relying on a job for financial stability. Oh, and I've gotten three management-level roles since the start of COVID, all remote, with companies that have zero issues with it. Sounds like Mr. Krishna is just a bit of a twat.

Car manufacturers: we can't get enough chips! Phone manufacturers: no one is buying our phones, we need fewer chips! Samsung: we see no opportunity here. SHUT. IT. DOWN. The assclowns never cease to amaze.
