I don't need any software updates. Mine works fine as is. Don't need some new battery draining feature. I still get a compliment on it once every couple of months. Mostly used for telling time, then see who email or text is from, pull out phone if it's not junk.

I don't think the question is bad. The solution is stupid. To me why does it have to be stored on the plane itself? Why can't it be transmitted in flight? Or giant mesh network between planes to swap data?

I think you have it backwards. Netflix does not "push data" to Comcast. Comcast customers "pull data from Netflix".

Why limit your pool of potential customers, if you don't have to.

Why does everyone take his side? He is the one that added a feature and broke it. Sound like he added a feature without discussing with the original developer? When he says "You create a small new feature, and the app breaks down in unexpected ways. You fix a bug, and new bugs pop up all over the place" sounds like he was the person that hacked the code and not the original person.

I would not suggest the launch pad over Arduino for a beginner. I have both. The Arduino is much easier to start with.
