The word "efficiency" is doing a lot of work in that sentance.
The DOGE effort is based entirely on idealogy, not real data. Things are deemed "inefficient" if:
- they are in any way a constraint on DT's whims: DOJ, Joint Chiefs, etc.
- they are in any way a constraint on oliarchs: EPA, SEC, IRS.
- if they involve any Federal workers (DT cliams basically all 2 million of them don't even show up for work or do anything of value).
- if they help anyone who isn't a white man: DOE, HHS, etc.
It's all driven by motivated reasoning, not data. That's how you end up with cold fusion, the Inqusition, and the Holocaust...
