Journal Journal: Microsoft "Linux for Windows"

I guess it has been around for a long time, but I just discovered (today) Microsoft's "Services For Unix" (SFU)

I think it is built into Windows 2003 Server and Vista, although an additional download may be needed to get some of the tools.

According to the wikipedia entry, it includes sed, awk, ksh, csh, grep, vi, gdb, and many other essential tools that make civilized computing possible. If I am ever forced onto a wintel machine again, I will definitely give these a try before downloading cygwin.
