I was happy with local delivery services but damn COVID changed that. Is there still any (global) company that will require a code/pin, protecting the package from being handled to random person that happens to be close enough to target address?

We've shoved this tracking layer into every app we could find. Read our manifesto if you want to hear us jerk ourselves off about "transforming human thought." We actually believe that making you a cyborg who can't forget a grocery list is the "most disruptive force in history." We're obsessed with making sure you can never escape anything you've ever felt or seen.
Get ready for a future where your brain has no privacy. We're calling it the "Memory Singularity" because we're dramatic like that. After 300,000 years, we've finally figured out how to make sure you never have the mercy of forgetting anything ever again.
