And that's what a lot of guys did. They freed Willy. Or Johnson, or John Thomas, or Percy, or whatever it is they call their schlong.

Yep, tuxette and boyfriend of tuxette spent the day at a nude beach. Swimming al fresco in the cool clean salt water (if you have never done this, do this, and once you swim naked you'll never want to swim any other way again), sunbathing on the lawn, eating and drinking. It was great.

One of the nicest things about this beach is that people go there to relax and not worry about their appearance. A complex-free zone. You can go there in any shape or color or age, and not care, nor does anybody else care. If you do care, the please-put-some-clothes-on beach is not too far away. There you can show off your 1000 kroner bikini or your steriod studio body or hide in your moo-moo so that nobody sees that fleck of cellulite you think you have.

So...who of all of you reading this JE have been to a nude beach? :)

I've never been, but I'd go to one. I HAVE been in the hot tub naked with a bunch of other naked people though, does that count? ;-)

clothing optional beaches are tons o' fun. haven't been in some years, but back in the day I used to go to Baker Beach in San Francisco. (sunny! but chilly!)

Whenever I see the words "Free Willy", I can't help but think of a brief riff by some comedian on MTV's Music Awards years back, where he supposedly was giving out the award for the best porn movie name ripped off from Hollywood.

Not a beach, but a nudist club

When I was growing up, my mom was into nudists for a while... She took my sister and I to the nudist club a couple times. My sister loved to go because they had a pool and she would do just about anything to swim. I was uncomfortable about the whole thing. I really don't remember much about it (blocked it out I guess), but I do know that I didn't take my clothes off.

Funny because now I don't even care. I walk around my apartment naked with the windows open. My wife is a bit more modest and pulls the blinds

In SoCal, I'd just go to a regular beach and then take my suit off once I got in the water.

The suit itself can be valuable to keep sand out of cracks and crevices up on the beach.

.... okay, I never quite got that.

I grew up in Germany and the club I played squash at had unisex showers, resting area, sauna and steam room.

The Saunas I have visited in Germany were Unisex with some "male only" or "female only" hours in between.

I don't quite get the paranoia here, but heck, must be me.

Oh, and yes, I have been at such beaches.
