I think there's a very good possibility that Epstein was an intelligence agency(s) asset....and there are a lot of people that do not want that out....that he was used for intelligence purposes, to blackmail, etc famous people and world leaders.

Something tells me that is something they dug up and now are wanting to shut down...

I do not think anymore that people are capable of this. A few are and they do it without prompting (the 10-15% "independent thinkers") the rest is just dumb and honestly believes ignoring things makes them go away. They do not even understand what a fact is, much less that it can be verified.

You may be leaving out a substantial number of people that. "Just don't care"....

I'm leaning pretty heavily towards that group of folks.

Robotics as a field is about to surge, and food prep will be one of those things that many people will have a robot in their home for.

I doubt that in many cases....for instance, I happed to really ENJOY cooking....and prep work is part of it. I learned my knife skills for a good reason.

And for restaurants that are at least a level or two above fast food...they're not going to want everything to be non-human perfect, etc....otherwise why go to any particular restaurant when the full experience would be just exactly the same with full blown robotic food prep and service...?

Well....while it is best to clear out the REALLY bad guys first, anyone here in the US illegally....is a criminal and should be deported according to the laws on the books.

And yes it IS a criminal offense under 8 US code 1325.

And illegal re-entry after deportation is a more serious felony.

He is taking up a job that a US citizen could be doing. I used to work in restaurants as a kid and college student.

Also, very good chance he's being paid under the table in cash, so no taxes....and he's likely being treated in the ER for any medical needs, which comes out of all of our pockets with increased prices, etc.....we may be paying to educate the kids they brought over or dropped while here that otherwise would not be a burden on our educational system.

That's a few solid reasons.

If you print a gun (or gun parts, depending on the part), it has to be traceable to an individual (not sure how you'd want to handle that), and have a serial number that gets registered to your gun license, complete with rifling pattern (randomly generated for each print)... of course, the file would have to be secured against being modified (maybe SHA or something).

Federally this is NOT true....US citizens have had and still have a right to manufacture their own firearms and you do not have to mark them with any identifying codes/numbers.

Now...that being said, you cannot sell or even give these guns away, they are for personal use ONLY.

But it is perfectly legal to manufacture you own weapons, even the "serialized parts" that gun manufacturers do that they SELL....and you as a private citizen do not have to mark or register them in any way....Federally.

Some freedom hating states have put laws in place making this illegal....not sure how that would stand up to a lawsuit, but it is what is it now...but these state laws only apply in a very few blue states.

Thankfully I dont live in or near one of those....

For what it's worth, simply painting a normal gun to look like a toy has been attempted before, too. But I agree that conversions like this must be pretty spooky if you're in law enforcement. Still, toy gun form factors needn't be the only gimmick; consider the chaos a briefcase gun could unleash without scrutiny. The sky is the limit for designing concealed weapons if one is sufficiently imaginative and determined.

Even during this year's heat wave, inside temperature never climbed above 26C (I have home. That's just fine. I did get a ceiling fan though.

Something to do while talking to folks...

Great excuse for a break, and when they made us go outside....it actually was a chance to hang with upper upper management quite often and get their ear when you otherwise would never see or meet them...that was always helpful in business.

I'm a bit of a firebug too, so lighting them was always the best part.

It also mean you always had a REAL lighter to hold up at concerts when cheering for encores....people holding phones up now...ugh.

Too bad they can't some up with a healthy way to do it....but oh well, at this point in my life, I'd rather do what I can to extend what I have left....but man, I sure do miss it.
