...bitter. I can take it. I don't have that many meatspace friends, aquantinces, but not many friends. A real friend will stick by you, no matter what, even when you are being a 'tard, etc. They'll just tell you to your face if something is wrong, then be able to discuss it without freaking out. It gives both parties opportunity for constructive change then. I guess honesty is what I look for the most. Can't deal with weasels.
