I have. I still have some of the 8085 call/jump/return opcodes memorized. There were times when it was much faster to patch in a fix and continue, rather than stopping to change the assembly source, run the assembler and linker, and re-download the executable into the in-circuit emulator.
Then again, that was in the early 80's.
