My last HP OfficeJet would drop network connection every few hours and had to be rebooted to reconnect. I had to go into settings and schedule the printer to reboot itself every 6 hours to prevent this.

I bought a Brother laser printer and haven't looked back.

At this point in history I can't understand why anyone is still using HP printers. Brother is right there.

The noise wars destroyed radio and music, now the video wars are coming for your eyes.

There was a visualizer called R2 back in the day that blew the doors off all the half-baked visualizers including Milkdrop, G-Force, Whitecap and all the other just low effort wiggly line art visualizers that came during the rise of iTunes and the sunset of Winamp. Nothing since R2/R4 ever matched it or anyone bothered to make a new one or update it.

Last I remember the theory was a proto-Earth collided with a proto-planet and two iron cores merged into Earth while the ejected mantle material coalesced into the moon, which (so far) was explained by the Apollo mission's lack of finding volatiles on the moon hence they were burned away in the collision.

An iron-like core of the moon seems to be different then?

Fire OS is an Amazon-led fork of Android. Vega is an Amazon-led fork of Linux that does not contain Android. This has been planned and worked on since 2023.

I just completed the update for macOS, the UI change isn't nearly as jarring as I was led to believe. The added borderlines for some of the monotoned apps (like Messages) are actually a good touch.

I'll save the phone upgrade for later...
