Ah, it's all about how you normalize your data.

Yes, children are more likely to be abused by teachers ... but there are a lot more teachers in the world. A pastor is still more likely to be a molester than a teacher.

There's also questions about how much more likely other children (or their parents) are willing to come forward when the molestation has happened to a teacher vs a pastor/clergy. (my grandfather was abused by a Catholic priest, and his mom treated him as a liar and refused to believe a priest could ever do something like that)

It would be interesting if it goes unanswered in the article, which is, unfortunately, paywalled (and even that's not the original article, just a New York Times article about the article in Nature.)

Aldi uses those, but how would you make sure the person next to you didn't see the same price, and then you got that price when checking out?

That's okay... Delta tried fucking me because of housecats.

I was transporting my mom's cats from Germany, and was told that each leg of the flight, I would get stickers to prove that the cats were on the flight. So when they came around to check on us, I asked for the tickets, and never got an answer.

So they came back again, telling people to buckle their seat belts and make sure their seats are fully up, and I asked again. And I was blown off (said I didn't really need them), and so I took off my seat belt. I didn't get up, I just took it off so anyone else who came by would have to talk to me.

I was told that counted as threatening the stewardess, and that I could be ejected from the flight. WTF?

I don't think I've flown Delta since.

(I've also been boycotting United, and I remember there was once an emergency flight that I had to take, and I used one of them... we took off, then went back t the airport because of some plane issue... then sat around for 3+ hours while they kept saying that we'd be leaving soon, then finally started boarding at a time that meant that I was going to miss the funeral. If they had at least been honest about the delays (like claiming that the plane they were bringing around had already gone through pre-flight checks), I might have had an opportunity to take another flight that would get me there on time.... so I *might* have flown Delta since then... but they didn't get my to my destination)

They'll probably charge you more because you brought your own snacks instead of paying $10 for a sad, partially frozen sandwich, and you know how to live out of a suitcase so didn't have $50 in checked bag fees.
