i submitted this, but it was rejected, as is much more common with my submissions than being accepted.
some tv station in north carolina was (sorta) hacked. they had a web app that allowed businesses to send in messages about delays and closings due to bad weather or whatever. their mistake was that they only checked the messages when they were originally submitted, but then allowed the messages to be updated, or in this case, completely changed. here's the article from securityfocus and here are screenshots of the messages.
and a poll: which ticker message is your favorite? i think i'm partial to the "windows 32 exception error" message.

I have to admit that "All your base" was my favorite. Old and tired maybe but I'm just that lame.

Strange how several of them had a comical or even surreal connection to the main picture at the time.
