The competition required a robotic submarine to autonomously complete an underwater obstacle course. Some other teams' standings are surprising, to say the least. Check out the websites and papers for some cool and unusual designs. One team (University of Maryland) was probably first to run their robot on a waterproofed Mac Mini, and they didn't do half bad."
