Journal stemceller's Journal: Stem Cell Research News 1
USA Today reports, "Researchers have been able to derive human stem cells from the amniotic fluid surrounding babies in the womb, potentially providing a source of stem cells that is easily available and uncontroversial. The amniotic stem cells grew readily into independent cell lines, or colonies, doubling in just 36 hours, the paper says. It was published in Sunday's edition of the journal Nature Biotechnology." This is a significant scientific advance in the field of stem cell research.
Change the Ethical Debate? (Score:2)
Most people who are against Stem Cell Research on moral grounds are only against embryonic stem cell research, but FOR Adult, Umbilical Cord, and now Amniotic Stem Cell Research, as the latter three don't require an aborted kid.
