Journal spirit00's Journal: Sara Evans - "Restless" 4

I'm a leaf on the river
Fallen from the tall oak tree
Drifting down this moving stream
Wherever this life carries me
I'm a tumbleweed
In the desert wind
Just tumblin' while
The sun's shinin'
I have no boundaries
Call me a gypsy

Chorus
I'm restless
Just ramblin'
What do you do, where do you go
When nowhere feels like home
I'm restless

Am I an angel fallen from heaven's grace
Oh, it feels like that some days and I can't find my place
I guess God just made some of us
To live and die by highway dust
Guess I just have to trust
On the days I'm crawlin' T
his is my callin'

Repeat Chorus

Oh, to hold somebody close that cares
Oh, to finally find some roots somewhere
I know someday I'll find that it's out there
But until then I'll just keep movin'
What do you do, where do you go
When nowhere feels like home
I'm restless

  • ..powerfull lines you got there, and I have a feeling they mean more to you than just being the fancy lyrics to that song.

I can only say to just keep on going, to not fake it, but just live it as you are, even if sometimes the going can get very very tough. And you're never alone, remember that.

    • Thanks a0a!
Just trying to find my place in this world. One day it will hit me. Possibly someday I won't be called a "gypsy" But I think its going to be a long time coming before that happens. But, its just in my blood. My mom, my grandmother, all the traveling kinda gals!

That pretty much says it all.

      • And I hope you will never find that place. I have offered you roots. You turned them down heartlessly.

As you cast on me the spell of enternal lonelyness, I wish upon you to never find your place in the world.

Of course that will not happen, with my damned luck.

        • Only what you _believe_ to be true IS true in your reality. May seem trivial, but it really DOES work both ways. Besides, no one can cast anything upon you, except me. Muhahahaha..
