... It's the same joke as when the USA preaches about data security. The fact that China wants to see my stuff is pretty irrelevant. When a US one gets to see my details,
Yes; so you don't care about your data; and down the road you won't care about they they deal with your children's too. So they collect your data, what if they start selling them ? I wonder will you have the same response.
Switzerland or Iceland would be great.
But if it comes down to either America or China, I would prefer my data was in China, out of reach of the NSA and other US spy and law enforcement agencies.
I don't much care if the Chinese govt sees my data since they have no power or authority over me.
Yea right; let see when China starts to sell your data / manipulate your data (or even your children, if you have) ; and you have no power of authority over there.
No contraction, when there is a force there usually a force that works against it.
As technology we created is a double-edge sword; if use wrongfully; the people who are being oppressed will not just sit & lay low, to wait for slaughter; They are just doing something to prevent wrongful use to them, or any others who are being oppressed by evil regime.
Its these Tug of War that makes Civilizations to go forward isn't it?
Gee, badgering & bullying won't get what you want; you just reminded me of some Chinese flame-boy group, "Little Pink" they call, it who will start online badgering whenever people speak against their political stance.
some sort of troll. Probably a Bitcoin gold miner, ? - you say?
Your delusional deductions just simply made it into joke of the day.
Lastly, Trump supporter you say? Why a technical news such as this got to do with Trump supporters or not; you are getting more like the "Little Pinks" from China.
The more you badger; and you will not win any respect and support here.

Pretty poor start to the conversation, but I will (charitably) guess you [Slonak Nana] felt you had to be so brief because of the fundamental problem with FP abuse.
However I'm not familiar with your context, so I'm guessing that "clone" is a specific project on github and you think it can do what the Chinese need (at least insofar as it was described in the summary). Care to clarify? (Not restricted to the OP, by the way.) And yes, I searched on github and did find a large number of repositories named "clone" or including "clone", but none of them that seem relevant to this story.
However my main response is that your general solution approach is no good and that the Chinese would have to be crazy to seriously consider it. These days they are already having too many "reliability" problems with supposedly international infrastructure and they have the critical mass to build their own infrastructure just for China. I do think they would be willing to use an international platform and that they would even like the long-term marketing prospects from using international platforms, but certainly not if it's a "Heads America wins, tails China loses" proposition.
Much more plausible would be to create their own dog food, which seems to be the thrust of this story, and hope that they can make it so tasty that eventually all the mice in the world will start beating a path to their door in hopes of sharing in the dog food. No, I'm not going for Funny moderation, but I tend to mix and mangle my metaphors and similes. Badly.
I'm actually more interested in speculations about a political response from China to the political problems created by Trump. I'm not sure it would have been possible to negotiate economic solutions to the problems, but it's obvious that Trump can't negotiate anything with anyone. My premise is that the Chinese crimes were primarily economic and related to playing the "capitalist" game too hard for our taste, but of course you should disagree if you think it's primarily a political problem. However, if the Chinese do decide on a political response, then Trump is the obvious target and they have some major economic weapons with which they could do enormous economic AND political damage.
The real threat is Xi's possible decision to consolidate more losses under the bad year of Covid-19. An extremely bad year, even for the few countries that have managed to contain the disease, but China has other losses that have to be written off the books at some point, so why not now, when those losses will be nearly invisible because of the Covid-19 red ink?
Me? I just want to get completely out of the stock market. If I were a gambling man, I'd be speculating on a huge dip in October driven by Chinese gamesters (with Chinese insiders profiting on the flip side).
One more thing linking back to the main story here. I would also wager that the Chinese internal market is above critical mass now. They have a large middle class and a large service economy and can largely transition out of manufacturing even if Trump throws his YUGEST tantrums at them.
You said you were sure about the context here is probably because my comment wasn't target at you; but to the target audience
I am referring to git ; the open source repositories and behaviour of git commands; and if you want to know more open source repositories; you can start with https://git-scm.com/docs/git-clone ; You will get the context; what's the meaning of git clone, upstream and forks as people can clone, upstream to this newly repository, and claim it their own.
But yes, I do agree on some points you made; the stock market so far have performed very well under Trump's administrations. The stock market have its own will and don't lie, I hope.
Americans will have a decision to make whether to keep their jobs in USA in October; or let jobs flood back to China. Whether this allow China to suppress human rights further, or even conquer the world, no one knows;
Yes, I heard some many "advice" to invest in China's digital currency now that are bound to rise several folds after the October election
I heard its a great currency, in which currently its in a form of cash vouchers that you can only barter for goods and services; switching to other commodities such as gold or foreign currencies should be discouraged; as it only can be done with the help of unofficial channel.
"If you trust the China's digital currency, why should you switch out ?" - This attitude should be held at all time if you decide to invest in this digital currency.
I think that's another topic in which I prefer to stay out of and told in another

...are you saying Uyghurs concentration camps doesn't exists?
Guantanamo; yes, you read that right! And folks being held without due process. Argument from the US of A is: They do not qualify for one!! I will bite. It's not the exact same thing/situation but for folks inside, it smells/tastes the same.
Guess we are are just taking sides that will not come to a mutual understanding; and
Did USA do ethnic cleansing like China does
USA's "ethnic cleansing" is happening at its southern border despite USA having signed the UN Refugee Convention....
Yeah, right south of border camps who seek refugee vs the rightful people who own the land got sent to concentration camp. Your refusal of admitting facts simply amazes me.
...Chinese Communist Party uses to recruit scientists from organizations such as Tesla and Harvard University through such programs. Beijing has denied attempting any systematic effort to steal U.S. scientific research...
Folks, one can ably replace "Chinese Communist Party" above with "United States' Government".
It's long established "Greed Card" program and HB1 Visa regimes have effectively fished smart minds from around the world. Do not take my word on face value. You can read about it here.
China is simply doing what the USA has done for a long time.
Your reply is just totally wrong there, are you saying Uyghurs concentration camps doesn't exists? Since when USA build such education camps like China does ? Did USA do ethnic cleansing like China does ? At least USA have a bit more of moral standard and know when to stop. Did you make an attempt and stand up against China ?
The extradition law and the national security laws are quite reasonable and in line with any other country. Some of the behaviour of the protestors/rioters/terrorists is abhorrent and the perpetrators should be arrested and brought to justice... Not to mention the (alleged) murderer who started this whole thing last year.
So funny that you failed to mention this National Security Law doesn’t define what constitutes colluding with foreigners; probably your posting in any foreign forums already infringe this law. Further this version of “national security Law “ secure and protect the people with power to run the country; not to protecting the countries in its best interests.
