16GB on an old release of a pre-beta build of an OS that isn't even released yet? WHAT IS WRONG WITH MICROSOFT. My Win7 install is right around 10GB. If it's still that size when the final build is released, I guess you can complain.

Apple built OSX from scratch, sure. Then they patched it .1 .2 .3 .4 .5 .6, and all of the releases in between. And charges a pile of money to get the patches. On a similar note, Mocrosoft does rebuild it's OS but keeps the same kernel (NT-XP-Vista). And all of the patches (Read: Service packs, which are really on par with OSX Point releases) are free.

A large part of the available torrents use The Pirate Bay as tracker, and other available trackers will probably be overloaded if all traffic is shifted there. TPB is currently using eight servers for their trackers. According to the researchers, even trackerless torrents using the DHT protocol will face problems: 'One bug in a DHT sorting routine ensures that it can only "stumble upon success", meaning torrent downloads will not start in seconds or minutes if Pirate Bay goes down in flames.'"

I have no qualms with Linux and triple-boot my main machine with it. I use Offuce 2007 and Digsby and other programs that I wholly prefer over their OSS counterparts, so Linux just isn't as good of an option as a custom Vista install. Plus, I'm just more productive all-around in Windows than I am in Linux.

Agreed. I wholly plan on getting an HP Mini 1000 at some point. I'm getting the Linux version because it's cheaper, and then putting Vista/Win7 on it. Fuck paying for the OS.

And here's why SSD's are good for desktops: Lower energy consumption Faster than any physical drive you can get for a desktop Less heat to dissipate Good job. SSD's belong everywhere. Well, except for heavy I/O tasks.

Then you have serious issues with your computers. I've never had any sort of problem with switching into programs after not using them. Maybe two or three seconds of lag, but that's it. Sorry dude.

...no. It runs on NT 6.1, just a slightly modified Vista kernel. The Minwin kernel was scrapped, and will possibly appear later.

Sounds like you never used Vista. Or you only used it when nobody made drivers for it--which wasn't Vista sucking, it was vendors not making new drivers that sucked. Every single person I know that actually uses Vista (Read: Didn't use it for five minutes and then switch back) loves it. More stable than XP, much better looking, and just a tad slower; though, the ability to drop in more RAM more than makes up for that. Also DX10/11.
