As a resident in China, I was also extremely angry at the government's initial cover-up. Now having seen the absolute disastrous responses to the coronavirus by the western countries, I think the Chinese government has done a far far better job. The US government's response to the virus is inexcusable. Two months after the lockdown of Wuhan you still thought it was just like the flu? The cover-up made by the Chinese government was nothing compared to the continual denial and inaction by your President Trump. Now the crisis is staggering and the numbers are so bad, you resort to blaming China and questioning China's numbers in order to make yourselves look less embarrassing (I know you will also deny it. But it's really human nature.). Even more, China's goodwill gestures (e.g. donation of 1000 ventilators to New York) were received with animosity. You really should be ashamed of such a complete fiasco in your country.

Because no amount of good will from China lessens the inherent hostility and bigotry towards China. If you treats China as your enemy, China becomes your enemy.

Fix it for you.
