Submission + - Samsung won't release Windows RT tablet in US

sandoval88419 writes: Reported through osnews http://www.osnews.com/story/26694/Samsung_cancels_US_Windows_RT_tablet_plans: During the CES the US head of Samsung Tablet business announced they won't release Windows RT devices in US http://ces.cnet.com/8301-34439_1-57563340/uh-oh-windows-rt-samsungs-got-second-thoughts/. Explanations are low demand, heavy investment to educate the consumer on the differences between windows RT and 8 and more importantly the effort to keep a low retail price with Microsoft offering. Still the Korean manufacturer choose to wait and see. Tom's noticed as an anecdotical evidence that he couldn't put his hands on a Windows tablet in his country's largest chain of electronics retailers. This raises concerns about Microsoft operating system, will they be able to gain marketshare in mobile devices in 2013 ?
