Comment sorry - didn't notice (Score -1) 159

Must have been asleep when that happend. As a mountain biker I am very aware of the weather, since I ride almost every day for a couple of hours We had a few warm days, but all in all this was a lousy summer with plenty of cool days and lots of rain. Yet they tell us this was the warmest year since start of recordings - yeah sure... I will certainly not associate last year with any kind of climate change

Comment Warming? Hopefully - it is way too cold here (Score -1) 111

What has tipped is some peoples brains. Unfortunateley that is an irreversibe process. Btw. : we need way more of the good stuff (CO2). These damn critters in the oceans keep depleting it more and more. Just look at reefs and the south coast of England. That stuff was once food for plants and is now gone forever. I vote for a minimum of 1000ppm.

RSS is more in line with the warmists because they refuse to remove questionable data from their sets. Details are here: https://wattsupwiththat.com/20... For uah it is much less than the 0.5K difference - and looking at the temperature swings from month to month it is clearly visible that the outcome of the bet depends significantly on only a few months shift. Anybody who follows climate science knows that warmists are currently getting very nervous. Some even openly doubt the CIMP-6 predictions about the ECS range

Our simulation domain covers southwestern Greenland, the mass change of which is dominated by surface mass balance... No further reading required - another paper just to get published.

right - especially since this damn CO2 depletion is going on for millions of years already. Shells and plankton are already pulling out CO2 in record amounts and it is very hard to get it back into the air. The result is that plants are starving and have a hard time to survive at low CO2 levels. 75% of all CO2 is lost in limestone; we should be glad that at least some can be generated by burning fossil fuels. oh - and don't worry about the horror stories about warming - surprisingly almost all recent studies have found that the IPCC numbers are vastly overstated.

No need to massage data - just take the russian model - it matches relatively well. Unfortunately it does not predict an apocalypse, so they average it with all the other models to make up for that. And that's when the need for "homogenization" and massaging of data arises. But I'm sure that is not what people want to hear. They want to believe that the end is nigh. So let them. And listen to Marc Twain: Never get into an argument with.... you know

Comment Re:Holy hotbox Batman! (Score 0) 373

just one fact is needed to counter all these arguments. Go look at the measured temperatures. Even the permanently upward adjusted GISS and NOAA curves do not show the expected warming according to the models. Currently despite the "heat wave" in Europe - the temperature anomalies go down: http://www.karstenhaustein.com... And this reanalysis-site currently shows 0.2K higher temps than the average of 1979-2000: https://climatereanalyzer.org/... I have seen it with -0.1K in June. Mind you: these sites are "alarmist" sites with temps artificially cranked up in the desperate attempts to aligns them with the models. Seems like they failed - and we don't even have a LaNina yet...
