Submission + - It Management Fail: Always Blame the Worker Bees

An anonymous reader writes: A refreshing dose of sanity, It Management Fail: Always Blame the Worker Bees counters Security fail: When trusted IT people go bad, which advocates the usual reactive and punitive Big Brother measures for keeping those icky, untrustworthy IT staffers in line. Management really needs to look in the mirror when it screws up, though I suppose the time-honored tradition of shit rolling downhill will persist for as long as pointy-haired bosses exist. (Bonus points for pointing out the propagandistic fearmongering use of "rogue" and "hostage".)

Submission + - World's First Full HDR Video System Unveiled (gizmag.com)

Zothecula writes: Anyone who regularly uses a video camera will know that the devices do not see the world the way we do. The human visual system can perceive a scene that contains both bright highlights and dark shadows, yet is able to process that information in such a way that it can simultaneously expose for both lighting extremes – up to a point, at least. Video cameras, however, have just one f-stop to work with at any one time, and so must make compromises. Now, however, researchers from the UK’s University of Warwick claim to have the solution to such problems, in the form of the world’s first full High Dynamic Range (HDR) video system.

The experts are politically driven to get grant money, This drives their science. If you believe the experts then you are just ignorant about the politics involved. You cant possibly understand the need to get money in science is the driving force. The whole community of experts would testify in writing that their rectum is capable of fitting over the top of their head and give evidence to support it if it involved getting a grant. Yes I am a scientist and understand the science. However did you go outside today. Humm It is May 19 and here in Cincinnati OH the temperature is now 62 degrees F and I haven't even run the AC yet this year. Where the Hell is the global warming when you need it. The cap and tax is just just a ploy to implement global governance and redistribution of wealth.
