According to the article Trump is pretty successful, however he endorses LOTS of candidates, especially ones that will almost certainly win anyway. Previous presidents apparently only endorsed about 1/10 as many, and I would think they would endorse candidates who are in a competitive race (since why waste time endorsing somebody who is going to win anyway?).

Though I have some hopes for whatever replaces Trump, I do feel it is quite possible a far-left group elected as a majority will see voting restrictions and single votes (rather than some kind of ranked) as being just as advantageous to their extremism as they were to Trump's extremism, and will not change a thing.

I don't think the cheaper systems contain that "backup interface". The cheapest way I can imagine making that work will be for it to plug into the meter socket (and the meter plugs into it), and I suspect you need help from the electric company to do that. Is there any other way to install it?

I think there are already models that have batteries in them for exactly this. I would imagine they are much more expensive and heavy than a panel-only model.

Would it be possible to design these so they also have an outlet that remains working even when the inverter is disconnected from the plug? Then anything you plug into this outlet will keep working during a blackout.

I believe that is part of the safety regulations for these things: they have to detect that the main circuit breaker is off and not put any juice into the line. Not sure what happens during a blackout.

Is there 220V plug-in solar in the US? I think it would power both sides of a split 110v system, though I'm not really certain, and those are less common than they once were.

It absolutely does work. Washing machines are required to have anti-back flow valves so they don't pump water into the system.

I think you are right I just subconsciously ignore those. What I usually do with maps is click on the little indicators in the maps, this seems to show the one I clicked on without any "sponsored". So far that (and directly searching for a place by name) has not introduced a "sponsored" result. Hopefully Apple is doing the same.
