Comment it's not just CEOs it's any "VPs, Directors ..." (Score 1) 76

I've met many inept AI VP/Directors in startups that think they know everything it's stunning. When you talk to them, and explain all the AI tools, capabilities you've developed they shrug. Then say something stupid like "have you enabled "skills" on openclaw, and when you say no because they are not relevant for the work they brush you aside. It's bizarre - I've never seen more incompetence and arrogance in my entire career.

Comment META is doing this to make them quit (Score 5, Interesting) 93

It's part of the layoff handbook. It's far less expensive to reduce your workforce if you upset your employees, make them miserable and they quit. You save severance, and numerous of "benefit" overheads. So they are making them miserable to be able to push them out. I'd guess the true target for META reduction is close to 40% of employees released in this wave. Majority replaced by AI, or pretty robots to replace the "pretty" faces. Then after the 40% they'll go for another 40%, with AI outpacing employees at every turn. META's ultimate goal is to only have execs, and some high-level AI engineers. Get it down to 10% of the headcount it is today. So the goal is 7k employees coordinating 100 AI "bots" each.

Comment Claude is bad compared to Codex - period (Score 0) 30

I am a very heavy user of all the LLMs. CODEX continues to come up on top. CLAUDE/CODE is terrible. It really is quite bad. It eats tokens 4x faster than CODEX. it continuously argues with me and makes mistakes that CODEX does not. It loses context, and most annoyingly it will get stuck and run for 10-15mins on simple problems. My aggravation level with codex is 1-2 times of frustration per day. With CLAUDE it's every 5mins. Beyond frustrating. Also, I dont know who continues to pump CLAUDE so hard in the media. There seems to be a mass FUD campaign against OpenAI and a pro Claude campaign underway.

Comment Intel's political marketing has always been bad (Score 0, Flamebait) 23

It makes me laugh to no end that people position AMD as the good guy. If you read this post it shows that AMD stole Intel's design and reverse engineered it. Then made massive profits. This has been AMDs mantra for the first 30 years. It was only when Intel mistepped did AMD show any level of innovation. Their execs have always driven the porches, ferrais and other expensive sports cars while Intel execs drove the station wagons. In short, AMD was the marketing dude in engineering clothing, and Intel was an engineering dude stumbling along thinking what they were doing was right.
