The problem with your solution is that it is hard for a non-technical user to keep up with their anti-spyware updates - additionally, sometimes anti-spyware can cause serious havoc to a system. Most people are not always on their computers 24/7 and only log on once they get off of work. Do you think it's realistic to ask someone to update and run anti-spyware right before they go to bed, and on every single night? And can you guarantee that the removal of spyware on a system will not cause certain programs to die forever?
I've seen this happen a few times to people's systems and they had no choice but to reinstall because something messed up.
And I don't see Firefox as being the universal solvent to fixing spyware issues - as with any browser out there, something's going to give eventually.
Solutions? Maybe purchase a macmini and install firefox?
