peacefinder's Journal: Holiday Traditions...?

It has just come to my attention that something I thought was a US-wide tradition maybe isn't. Who else out there gives out chocolate-covered cherries for Washington's Birthday?

With all the trials and craziness I forgot it was that time of year.

To be honest, I think it really is more of a NW sort of thing. I know we didn't do it in CA, and when my wife explained it to me, I thought she was joking. Till the neighbors showed up with a plate! I can tell you, its a crappy day for those of us who hate cherries, but.. as long as there's melted choclate around, there are many things worth dipping;-)

My cherries were delicious. They were so delicious that none of them lasted long enough for the goo to fully form. :^)
