Submission + - Microsoft battles Vista perception issue (apcmag.com)

LambAndMint writes: "In what can only be described as an act of utter desperation to overcome Vista's mostly negative public perception issues, Microsoft has put together an online "Fact or Fiction" quiz about Windows Vista. Every person who submits themselves to Microsoft indoctrination gets a free shirt and the chance to win a $15,000 prize. Some of the supposed "fact" will make you feel dirty and ready to get a job as a computer salesman for a mass-market retailer as you go through the quiz."
It's funny. Laugh.

Submission + - The Great Internet Swear Word Project (doyoukissyourmotherwiththatmouth.co.uk)

morner writes: "The great internet swear word project aims to find the best swear word in the world according to you, the internet. Each visitor to this page is offered a choice between two randomly selected user-submitted swear words, their vote is recorded and fed into a Condorcet voting algorithm. Over the course of many thousands of votes, an accurate picture of the group preference emerges and thus, or so the theory goes, the world's best swear word may be identified unambiguously. YMMV."

Feed The Register: Spanish satire mag savaged over royal sex cartoon (theregister.com)

Copies seized, website closed

A Spanish judge last Friday ordered the confiscation of all copies of satirical magazine El Jueves whose front cover carried a cartoon of Crown Prince Felipe administering his wife Princess Letizia a right royal rogering while saying: "Do you realise that if you get pregnant . . . It will be the closest thing to work I’ve done in my life?”
