Let's go along with non-dairy spreads being the worst thing you can put on your toast. Now consider that non-dairy spreads are between zero and very little of what vegans eat. How is that argument so convincing to you? A health conscious vegan has lots of other breakfast options.

The problem vegans have with the egg industry are that the hens are usually severely mistreated before being butchered as soon as their productivity declines at the age of around 6. Right now roughly 50% of chicks that are born are male, and they are useless to the egg industry, so they are killed usually by being ground up alive or by being suffocated using carbon dioxide, which is fairly slow and unpleasant process. Eggs are not a victimless food.

64 Complaints Received On UK Cookie Law 86

judgecorp writes "Privacy watchdog, the Information Commissioner's Office, has already received 64 complaints under the UK's Cookie Law, which requires sites to get permission to track users with cookies. The law only came into effect on Saturday, and many sites do not expect to comply soon. To make life more complicated, the ICO has updated its advice, apparently allowing 'implied consent' instead of actually making a user click a box to give permission for cookies."
