This is going to be fun to watch! They got Trump woo hoo! And the big AI companies OpenAI, Anthropic are on board because this is a huge barrier to entry.
Now we will see what the other 49 states plus the territories all pass. Just think, tens of thousands of new agentic jobs filling out the required regulatory paperwork no one will ever look at.
Wait, the AI agents will be reviewing things, me bad ;)

"We need quality, not quantity" Exactly! These companies built Massive Automation Machines just assuming the Intelligence would follow.
Automation Machines can easily pump out the quantity. The problem is the quality sucks since there is no intelligence backing things up!
And now they are stuck with mountains of debt and no Intelligence in sight. Along with a customer base thinks Artificial Intelligence is already here since that is the message sales and marketing have been pushing out.

and the other supposed AI companies along with their sales and marketing.
Automation is a great tool for doing repetitive tasks and automation is all these companies have.
It takes the Intelligence part of their AI(Artificial Intelligence) business to actually layout a properly constructed, documented and tested fix that should go along with any submission.
And that is beyond the capabilities of the current Massive Automation Machines they are selling today as AI.

Have @ Unions in the private economy, things may get rocky in the short term but they will reach an equilibrium eventually.

Have to love the left, always wanting to seize and give away someone else's stuff.
And as far as I know everyone is invited to buy a stake in assets such as corporate stocks, bonds or wealth funds with out the government being involved!

Governments always talk about contributions and such like paying is optional. This is a tax and that is what government does, tax anything that moves until it is dead. Then move on to their next victim.

Not only can you fire you experienced admins, you can fire your developers because your new admins in training can replace your developers!

Today no one has the I(Intelligence) part of AI. They are all gambling with their mountains of debt, that they will be the ones to succeed at creating true AGI.
What they have, are Massive Automation Machines which they are marketing and selling as AI. Which require huge data centers and the supporting vendors.

If/when AGI does happen, I doubt it will require hundreds of huge centralized data centers.
What? is each robot going to be bound to communicating with a data center for every little fork in the logic.
And if that is true? What does that tell you about all the current AI companies and their hundreds of current/future data centers?

But then I am a nobody from no where, so my opinion(guess) should be weighted accordingly.

Soon there won't be any! Everything will be cheapened down to the point where there is no value left. An all that will exist is an ever growing mountain of slop.

It is an inherent flaw within the bureaucracy and how they operate. During the audits they just go through the paperwork and make sure the right check boxes are checked.
They do not check the paperwork against the actual real work IT operations.
That is why they fail! Nothing is really being checked, except that the audit documentation says what it needs to say.

Maybe it is just me, but I always thought it was employees per manager? Must really suck to work there!

Embrace, Extend, Extinguish it is who they are and that will never change this late in the game.
