Submission + - Wikipedia Medical Articles Found to Have High Error Rate

Rambo Tribble writes: A group of researchers publishing in the Journal of the American Osteopathic Association found that 90% of the articles they sampled contained errors regarding common medical conditions. Unsurprisingly, they recommend your General Practitioner as a more reliable source, while noting, '... 47% to 70% of physicians and medical students admitting to using it [Wikipedia] as a reference.'

At issue in the study is the small sample size used in the study, 10 medical conditions, and ongoing efforts to improve the quality of Wikipedia's articles, according to a Wikipedia spokesman, '... especially in relation to health and medicine.'

Kittenman writes "The Telegraph (and several US locals) are covering a story about a Japanese woman who had her underwear on the line while the Google car went past. She is now suing Google: 'I was overwhelmed with anxiety that I might be the target of a sex crime,' the woman told a district court. 'It caused me to lose my job and I had to change my residence.'"

Old Apple 1 Up For Auction, Expected To Go For $160,000+ 156

vanstinator was one of several readers to point out that Christie's is holding an auction for one of the original Apple 1 machines, complete with a manual, the original shipping box, and the letter from Steve Jobs to the owner. The invoice says the computer was purchased on December 7th, 1976, with an Apple cassette interface card, for a total price of $741.66. The auction house expects it to sell for over $160,000.

This has to be a made up story. When I microwave, IN OTHER WORDS NUKE, my leftovers, it speeds up those atoms to make it warm. How does speeding up the moon make it a picture? Seems unlikely.

Besides, microwaving the moon, which causes radiation, could be very detrimental for our health, and the moon. Why hasn't the possibilities of deformities been weighed? Are we being irresponsible, or just dumb?

So to sum up, my microwave doesn't create pictures. So I don't get how you make a picture. Also, all those microwave waves are not healthy to be putting on the earth.

They just fill your head with numbers and that can't be good for you.'"
