Music piracy was already mostly solved by just selling tracks digitally at a decent price. Even better when it was DRM-free. The music industry realized that they could just rent it out for more money without getting rid of that market, so it's great for consumer choice. Some consumers might be getting a bad deal if they're paying monthly to listen to a very limited selection of music repeatedly.

TV/Movie content never had anything but physical media with content protection and streaming. Even then, live content is treated as super premium but most of the cost is the exclusivity agreements.

Of course. If you had an iCloud account back when it was MobileMe, it didn't function as your iTunes account. Later on, when all accounts function as Apple IDs, you find out that new accounts are both but you can't merge yours - they are separate forever.

Windows still hasn't put in a utility to control brightness over the DDC/CI protocol. Laptops, you can adjust brightness natively but despite this technically being possible for external displays, you have to have a utility to enable it. I don't know if LG even has this option, they are probably just shoveling junk only.

SBC bought AT&T. SBC's reputation was so bad that renaming themselves AT&T was a step up.
