The OpenCore Legacy Patcher (OCLP) project natively supports roughly over 50 distinct Apple computer models released between 2006 and 2011. By injecting necessary data into memory at boot time, OCLP allows these vintage units to bypass Apple's blocks and natively run modern versions of macOS—specifically macOS 11 Big Sur, 12 Monterey, 13 Ventura, 14 Sonoma, and 15 Sequoia. Apple dropped Intel support completely with macOS 26 Tahoe, so Sequoia is the final modern version legacy Intel hardware can reliably run.

However, since these machines have standard Intel x86 architecture, 100% of pre-2012 Intel Mac models can run today's standard Linux distributions. Second this. For those familiar with the "Monster" series, it's anime in that style, visually. The storytelling is almost Miyazakian in places, for example the caretaker robotkiller robot//pianist story arc at the beginning of the series.

Andor series on Disney+ was excellent, with much of the grit that made the 2004 Battlestar Galactica series great. For All Mankind seasons 3 and currently 4 (Mars colonization) on Apple+ was/is also top notch. Agree with Strange New Worlds thumbs ups.

Also worth noting is that the quality of Strange New Worlds' scripts and actual product so far roughly shadow that of the original Shatner-era series: a third are classics, a third are just so-so average, and a third are mediocre at best. Sadly, the other 2020s era series give us far less heart and craft.

With respect, I don't recognize my thoughts anywhere in what you wrote. My point involved no pearl clutching whatsoever, it was simply that the scale and nature of the events of 1/6 were not comparable by any standard of critical thought and analysis to the scale and nature of the links that user Entrope posted regarding violence at events this summer involving BLM.

One of the links for example, describes police in SUVs literally running over protesters in the street, another, a Proud Boi discharging an AK-47 in the middle of a protest. I found these to be comically inept attempts at whatabout-ism (that just happened to be BLM whatabout-ism) and called them out solely on the basis of their demonstrably poor critical thinking.

My personal belief is that the complete collapse in the ability of people to engage in decent critical thinking is a bigger threat to my nation and my species than either BLM protests or the 1/6 insurrection, however bad or sad they might or might not be. My post was solely aimed at that disconnect.

Though that in turn raises the interesting question of the standard for declaring someone to be Antifa: currently there is no "formal" in the sense of "objective" standard for Antifa membership: anyone can claim to be Antifa, and anyone can be alleged to be Antifa. In a better run and more critical thinking-friendly universe, "formally connected" would have been fine. In this one, not so much.

The point that each and every one of those links make is that none of the people arrested were formally connected with any particular group or political affiliation, with the exception of Ivan Harrison Hunter, a 26-year-old from Texas and a member of the far-right anti-government Boogaloo Bois ... who both committed arson, and, illegally discharged an AK-47. Worth noting also is that the same media and surveillance coverage captured police literally driving over the bodies of protesters in SUVs.

Not exactly a laser-focused counterexample of a coordinated nationwide fringe right insurrection involving hundreds to low thousands of active participants, multiple fatalities, and a direct clear and present danger to Congress and the Vice President.
