I thought somebody bearing a striking resemblance to myself recommended this one to you two or three years ago... or maybe that was someone else. :-)
It's very good if you already know another programming language. As a way to learn your first... well I think it could be useful, but there are easier ways. The book presupposes that you already know what you want to do and what are good tools to do them. The very first example includes defining a function, method calls, list comprehensions, and the python

Heh you probably told me before, but hey I found it again!!!
I already know perl, php, and several other programming languages, so I am guessing this is just what I need.

Me either, until I learned that most 3D tools use it as a scripting language :-)
