The big caveat I mentioned at the top is that there is no way for these systems to verify that the person who is providing age verification is the legitimate holder of the national ID upon which it's based. That is, a kid can steal their dad's ID and use it. Because the age verification is truly, strongly anonymous, there is no way for anyone to detect or prevent this... yet.
I think the kid has to steal dad's phone, having the ID is not enough, when you install the app you have to scan your face and match it with the picture/biometrics from the ID card.
Actually we see it right now what you do regarding Russians
And do you think North Korea will buy a bunch of Claude subscriptions or will roll their own tools?

Then good thing Mozilla already provides a global AI switch to block the features.
Actually not, there are plenty of functions you can use without an account, like record shows, play media from local shares, use a web browser, connect with your phone and such.
Sorry, I can't focus on the robot when the news is about a conference about strengthening protections for children hosted by the wife of Donald Trump of Epstein files fame. Melania, how are you protecting those children from your husband?
I am pretty sure US can easily make missiles with a comparable set of features with those, but definitely not at a price in a comparable range.
If people start flocking to Linux, there will be so much pressure to drop anti-cheat or to have it use Linux-friendly methods, it won't last or be a barrier.
I fear the opposite: if people start flocking to Linux, laws will be passed requiring Linux to implement support for this anti-cheat in the name of "think of the children".
As a long time LibreOffice user (and for a while contributor), I can honestly say that comparing MS Office, OnlyOffice Desktop Editor and LibreOffice with tabbed UI, objectively MS Office has the most polished UI, while LO the least, and I am talking about icons/toolbars size and placement, font size and such, see for yourself: https://imgur.com/a/uoWkW3Y (no goatse, I promise!)
On the other hand, at work, we had a few users with issues on their MS Office installs, each time I offered to install LO, everybody refused.
Maybe is not the best idea to have that many UI variants and not one of them polished to look professional, maybe focusing on one, maximum two, and making them shine would be better.
Password managers are good to create random passwords, which are best used by password managers. not by humans. See the relevant XKCD
A portal made with the single purpose of circumventing EU laws? Of course it will be blocked EU wide in 3, 2, 1...
It probably is #1 by number of users
