Not possible.

The only reason anyone goes to a conference at all is for the party. Yeah there is some guy from somewhere taking about something, and sure we all pretend to be interested, but that is just because we know there are eyes on us and we have to go through the formality of the conference for the IRS to allow this as T&E.
But all we are all doing is waiting for it onto end so we can spend $400 on sushi and sake and then 10 times that on drinks, because we need to unwind from the pressure of the conference and also lubricants the gears of networking so we can locate a saleswoman from Nebraska so we can chat her up because we are trying to finish up our 50 State Collection and we havenâ(TM)t banged anyone from Nebraska yet and this conference is our chance because who the hell wants to suffer through an actual trip to Nebraska to meet a Nebraskan? And all the married people are of course cheering this whole thing on since they need to live vicariously and this is their only opportunity to do so since their spouses frown on this sort of behavior.

So unless Zoom is going to send me thousands of dollar in liqour and a truckload of new hires, both of which Iâ(TM)m open to, they arenâ(TM)t going to recreate the experience of any conference Iâ(TM)ve ever attended.

Thank you, kindly moderators, for modding this dickhead imbecile into the dirt where he belongs.

20something years or so, or something like that, when this place was cram full of stink filthy communist FOSS types I was here grinding pure Microsoft silicon into tiny little fragments and spoon feeding them to you idiots. Windows is great, Windows is the way, buy Office, and all that.

Now it seems those little electronic seeds I planted have grown into towering trees. Instead of cowering in basements editing Lenix text files to get your monitors to change refresh rates, you people are standing proudly in front of the warm productive glow of Microsoft Windows. No dual boot nonsense. No VM. You just buy your computers with a real OS installed at the factory, plug them in, and get right to being productive members of society.

Remember when you people thought Lenix gaming was going to take off because of that game with the penguin sliding down snow mazes? You can now see, as clearly as I did then, how incredibly gullible you were and there would only ever be childish half working poorly thought through games ever available for Lenix.

Anyway thanks for standing up for Mr. Gates and recognizing his Great Contributions to the world and thanks for using Windows every single day exclusively.

I also run the MDM system - so I know we're not collecting anything. We push down mail and VPN configs to secure the environment. Of course, in reality, it's not any more data that you're probably already giving to the majority of the apps on your phone. Unfortunately the rights you grant are to the MDM application, not the MDM profile, so there's no way you can tell on the device.

It should be relatively easy to get a copy of your company's MDM profile from IT. As opposed to finding out what Slack is doing with your data.

It sure seems like all that's left on Slashdot are Chicken Littles.

How many open source tools have great GUIs and a slick user experience? Seems like they mostly don't.

It isn't "mostly", it is none. 0. Not a single one. The FOSS community is openly hostile to good GUIs and scoffs at the existence of things like "user experience". Given that their work is best suited to back end stuff, not anything that normal people will interact with directly. Even then most of it doesn't scale like a Windows based system would so only enterprises that are broke and short sighted and/or willing to make performance concessions in trade for ratifying their own misguided worldview use the stuff.
