I guess the CEO of NVidia played the long game on AI. They were nothing back in 2012 when they were just a cheap graphics acceleration chip company, and now they bypassed Microsoft in market capital. They don't seem "evil" to me, it seems like a thoughtful company that worked hard, took a long view, and reaped the rewards. I simply hope that they don't get the billionaire bug and becomes evil.

I believe that the USA is facing its "Hitler" moment, where about 33% of White Nationalists are taking over everybody. They don't seem to care about what is in the United States Constitution, nor about the concept about forming a More Perfect Union. It is pure selfishness.

The silly thing about your premise is that you think that global trade, or "globalism", did not expand the growth and wealth of America. It obviously did. The sad thing about the past forty or so years is that the prosperity was not shared. That is all on our Political system, and on our laws. It will ultimately end up biting the Rich in the ass. This plays out over and over again in History. The Rich grab too much, and they get set straight.

Billionaire propaganda.... I think that is much of the problem. The solution is a solid middle class who feels that productivity gains will be shared broadly in America. That we are all a team working for a shared goal. The Epstein class undermines that belief, imho. The first step towards a solution to that, I think, is to eliminate the Epstein Class ability to subvert elections and to get back to a notion of one person, one vote in a democracy.

At this point I think that on the poor side of the spectrum only White Racist Nationalists support Trump. They must be cheering the lock-ups of decent immigrants without a judge to review their cases. They got the Trans scared shitless. On the Rich side of the spectrum, they must love the new political and pardon power they are feeling, the open Corruption, and the money pouring into their pockets.

I have listened to many podcasts about small business who work through importers are getting, for a lack of a better word, "screwed" because of this. They imported their product through a third party, so technically the third party gets the refunds, but the small business had to pay the higher prices to get their inventory. It just seems chaotic and unfair.

When I check the same questions against Anthropic Claude and other AI's, they also seem to have the best answers for my interests. That AI is very complete, and complex, or can be simple if I ask for that. It is a plus in my book that they seem to have ethics and values, something that others claim, but don't back up with facts nor actions.

Lay it out to me how data centers bring jobs. They build a huge building, They buy chips. I give you that. After that, they suck up water and electricity, and maybe employ 130 people. These are not the classic "Manufacturing Jobs" from the 1950's, when I guess America was "Great", as the MAGAs think.

I don't see this as a "jobs program" at all. Data Centers don't seem to bring jobs. That seems like Billionaire propaganda to me. It just puts money into the pockets of Rich people. It does drive up average electricity rates, and uses a bunch of needed water. Offset that, and I'm OK with with the rich eating their cake.
