How is this of any significance to humanity? Seems like a weird way to waste both time and money.
Now all my crappy code will crash much faster.
I made my chat font Comic Sans because I think it's funny that the "Supreme Allied Linux Commander" for our organization (me) uses Comic Sans on Skype For Business. Keeps 'em on their toes.
But Brave Browser has no problem blocking them.
The point of advertising is to generate demand (want). The more you can influence people to want your product, the more of your product you're going to sell.
I'm an actual Starlink user at my farm. It's head-and-shoulders better than any competing service.
I previously has used a cellular uplink... and even with a yagi mounted 30' up on a mast, I barely had 1-2Mb/s of bandwidth. It was truly miserable.
Starlink is a game-changer... give 'em the freakin' money. They've done something truly miraculous for rural internet users, who had previously only terrible/expensive options. As a taxpayer, I'm actually glad to see the money I contribute going to something useful.
I bought $1000USD of Doge back when it took 12 of them to make a single penny just to have fun with on IRC. We set up a doge wallet bot and used tipping in Doge as a way to encourage productive/constructive comments and contributions to our little channel, as well as educating people about crypto. I ended up giving away at least half of the Doges to various channel dwellers just for the fun of it. (Using random soaks & tips of 100 doge here & there.)
Fast forward to now it's around
I still have quite a bit of Doge left and it has oddly turned out to be one of the most entertaining & enjoyable successful investments I've made.
TO THE MOON!
It's a shame that these days, we are focused on hyper-specialization and don't see these sort of polymaths.
Agreed. The last 20 years have not been kind to this place.
Hollywood has long been a wretched hive of scum of villainy. Toads like Weinstein should have been burned down long ago.
But throwing Kavanaugh in with Weinstein? C'mon.
Hallelujah, brother... preach it.
I too remember the Old Days (TM). Slashdotting was an actual thing. We fearlessly rode the waves of the ether, and many a site trembled at the sound of our clicks.
I rarely post any more... but the passing of Rob is sobering reminder than none of us are getting any younger... RIP Roblimo
> a decent pan with a thick bottom, the thicker the better. It will take longer to heat, but it will also provide a more even and consistent heat
Yes, but also, a good quality thinner pan also works. I have been a big cast iron fan for a few years. My wife recently sprung for some "All Clad" pans.
They are quite thin, they heat quickly, and I am every bit as impressed with them as I am with my cast iron. I took over for my wife at the stove while browning some sausages.... they browned faster than normal, on a lower heat.
I was very impressed; though, for the price, cast iron definitely wins out; but for speed, these things rock hard.
There is an even more sane default.... to only support text.

Simple, and has worked flawlessly for me since the 1990s. Formatting isn't content, not having it is no loss at all.
