"losing shows to other streaming services" has nothing to do with this. Teens don't care about "shows" as you (and I) call them. The types of ADHD-driven "entertainment" that teens (I have 2) want to digest don't come from the standard "Hollywood" infrastructure.

1) Why on earth would someone take the time to develop ransomware on "desktop" Linux?
2) Anyone running a Linux desktop with a 10 year old version of their OS (like XP) is likely just as open to attack.

Here in Florida, my kid's schools have had plenty of racial diversity. What they lack is men. Growing up some of my favorite teachers were guys, but now there seem to be almost no male teachers.

...coding ISN'T cool. It can be fun, rewarding, and it can pay the bills, but there is very little that is cool about programming. If you have a group of people picking their future careers simply using the "is it cool" filter, then you can except to get very few programmers out of that group.

I can buy a Blu-Ray PLAYER and the disc for less than it costs my family of 4 to see a 3D movie with pop-corn and drinks.
