"and with a bit of planning nuclear"

Unfortunately the 20th century "greens" (in reality left wing anti west agitators who deliberately conflated nuclear power with nuclear weapons) put paid to any sensible nuclear program in most of the west except France. And in germany they closed all their nuclear plants only a few years back and switched to burning lignite FFS. Yes, they have solar and wind but it hardly makes up for the loss of the nuclear base load.

Maybe you missed it, but Dell isn't really interested in selling End User Compute (EUC) to compete with Apple. The great majority of their profits come from datacenter equipment and EUC is a nice run-rate business to shore up the real money maker. I don't even think they care too much about selling AI laptops.

For the laptops they have, they're decent business class machines with support contracts which mean that they can be serviced anywhere in the world. Yes, Apple makes sleek and shiny things - but for a laptop that's going to be left on the roof of an Uber, have coffee dumped on it, or left in a Starbucks and then remote wiped... Apple isn't worth the premium for most companies. Less options for software, patching tools, and remote management also play a role too - but that's not as much of an issue as it used to be. Generally speaking tho, when you're buying 1500-2000 laptops at a time you'll opt for the Camry over the Lexus.

How would you see the effects of it if it barely interacts with matter or energy other than gravitationally? It could respond to a number of forces that have no equivalent in the ones we currently know of. The standard model is incomplete ergo it cannot by definition rule out things not in it.

The whole quality german engineering approach died years ago. These days german cars are built-to-a-price plastic crap. I too owned a recent BMW - a 3 series - got rid of it after 9 months. Awful interface, piss poor fuel economy and a driving position that became uncomfortable on long journeys. Plus once they get your money they don't want to know. I had a warranty repair and the service staff couldn't have been more indifferent and borderline rude. Will never get another.
