5% are going to die? 40% going to get sick? These are crazy numbers pulled out of the asses of attention seeking media "scientists". 80,000 Cases of Coronavirus / 1.3 Billion Chinese = 0.006 % of Chinese people got Coronavirus. 3200 Deaths from Coronavirus / 1.3 Billion Chinese = 0.00024% of Chinese people died from Coronavirus. China early on dealt with this terribly and even if their numbers are faked by an order of 100, it's still a tiny miniscule fraction of the population got sick or died.

The smart thing to do is look at total cost of ownership. Compare a $45,000 Model 3 to a $35,000 Toyota Camry and then add in what it costs to own and drive it for 5-10 years. Gas, electricity, maintenance, insurance, depreciation etc... The data is already all out there and the Model 3 is cheaper than the Camry by quite a bit. The Model 3 is almost on par with a Honda Civic, which has one of the lowest total cost of ownership figures of any car out there, and of course the Model 3 is a much nicer car in almost every respect. If you're smart and look at the real price (TCO), the Model 3 is one of the best bargains in recent history.

Nissan left California in 2005/2006 because we are famously expensive as a state in which to operate a business.

I wish all the various media would stop putting out product announcements from manufacturers unless the manufacturer has at least a price estimate. The news/story is meaningless without a price.
