Comment Car Insurance Rates are Too Low (Yes, Still) (Score 1) 179
I write this as someone who has two vehicles to insure but: car insurance rates are too low even with the increase in costs.

tl;dr: the costs of car crashes are disproportionately placed on non-drivers who are hit. If these costs were realized in the cost of car insurance, everyone's insurance would go up by a lot more.
If your first reaction to this is 'but I need a car to function in US Society', that probably tells you something about our society.
