Comment No that innovative (Score 1) 20

The article cites these glasses as very innovative. In reality, the "puck" is just another smart phone, but this time with the screen replaced by the new glasses. Same computer, different display. If they really innovation, build everything into the glasses themselves. They're pushing too early as the glasses only have display functionality and nothing else. The reality is that technology has not advanced enough to put everything into the glasses themselves. At least not for the functionality that they want to push. I would rather have a self-contained unit than glasses with a long cord that can be caught on things attached to a heavy puck.

Comment Market it differently (Score 1) 147

Yes. The "Learn to Code" label should be retired. Instead, it should be marketed differently. "Learn to Code" translated to other industries would be similar to "Learn to Detect Leaks" for plumbers, or "Learn to Swing a Hammer" for carpenters/joiners. Coding is really just one part of many in software design. Perhaps use the application of coding instead of one particular facet to specify what you can do with it: "Learn to Develop Mobile Applications" or "Learn to Make Video Games." These titles appeared briefly but seemed to have dropped off in favour of a simple phrase; maybe the intent was to make it more catchy and memorable.
