Not everyone thinks that diminishing the federal government role in every aspect of our lives is bad. What's missing in the portrayal of what's going on is that the USA has State governments that closely resemble actual countries. The Federal government's role was supposed to be limited to very few functions. I think Trump may be reverting us back to that.

It literally strips most spending authority regarding education from the Federal govt. Before this, the Federal govt could manipulate states' education curriculum by holding carrot/sticks spending through DOE. At least try to see that what you are espousing is fear and propaganda.

Regarding spending. Neither party has shown any inclination to control spending at all.
