Comment Windows 10 is supported until 2032 at least.. (Score 1) 114

> After October 14, 2025, Microsoft will no longer provide software updates, technical assistance, or security fixes for Windows 10 operating system. Normal Windows 10 is supported for at least another year if you install OneDrive or something like that. Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC 2021 offers security updates until January 13, 2032, which makes it a great option if you prefer to continue using Windows 10 for a longer period instead of migrating to Windows 11. Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2021 (non IoT) is supported till Jan 12, 2027. Or install Linux.

So, that was a 2 years time frame. Doesn't it sounds suspicious? How convenient, Clarin is posting news about government corruption and suddenly they realize is bad for consumers? And how "good for consumers" would be now that people would have no choice but the telcos? Either you don't understand, or you are one of the payed cyber-activist of the corrupted-kirchner government.

So, you are saying it has nothing to do with the ex-president Nestor personal vendetta against grupo Clarin? Isn't it weird that it was former president Nestor itself who approved Clarin purchase of Fibertel, and that now that he no longer likes Clarin his wife is doing this? Kirchner's presidencies have been 2 of the most corrupted and terrible governments we have had. So sad.

I still remember the first time i had to call Network Solutions, for a domain issue. I was given this name, and they picked up the phone, and it was like i had called a person's house. Very unprofessional. And i thought, this must be a mistake, this is "international network", it can not be a private company. It was.

Submission + - NEW MP3@128 kbps listenning test at HydrogenAudio! (hydrogenaudio.org)

kwanbis writes: After more than 4 years, a new MP3@128kbps listening test is finally open at HydrogenAudio.org! The featured encoders, are: LAME 3.97, LAME 3.98.2, iTunes 8.0.1.11, Fraunhofer IIS mp3surround CL v1.5, Helix v5.1 2005.08.09. The low anchor is l3enc 0.99a. The purpose of this test is to find out which popular MP3 VBR encoder outputs the best quality on bitrates around 128 kbps. All encoders experienced major or minor updates that should improve audio quality or encoding speed and we have a totally new encoder on board. Note that you do NOT have to test all samples — it is a great help even if you test one or two! The test is scheduled to end on November 22nd, 2008.
